I ♥ chains! XD

My pants from Hot Topic came. And for all those people who will read "Hot Topic" and go "Oh noes! Poser store!" you can just shush. THey still have some cool stuff. Which is why I buy from them. XD

Anyway, my pants have chains on them. And red plaid. Though, they're mostly black. I shall endeavor to post pictures at some point. Anyway, I showed my dad. Who didn't understand. XD

Dad: Are those... suspenders...?
Me: ...they fasten on my legs...
Dad: They could still... if they went over your shoulders...
Me: No. They're just chains.
Dad: Please don't wear those tonight.
Me: *snickers* I won't!
Dad: ...weird...

( For those who are curious, we're going to a discussion on four poems by Baudelaire. ( And I mean the famous french poet, not the kids from ASOUE. >.< ) With a bunch of very smart people who went to the same liberal arts college my dad did. So he doesn't want his teenage daughter looking all creepy goth. *snickers* I wouldn't do that anyway. I like these people, in general. I don't want to frighten them. )

My dad is the one who picked my pants from Hot Topic that have chains. He loves them and said he'd wear them himself if he was still a kid. *snicker*

That's so cool! I'll bet my dad never woulda worn these. But he had a motocycle, and that's flipping cool.

I saw those pants! They rock! I wanted to buy them, but I had promised myself that I was only going in for a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory shirt.

My grandfather calls the bondage straps suspenders too. *g*

Old people types are weird. That is the only conclusion.

XD XD XD You're 100% uke now!

[identity profile] cheshibisky.livejournal.com 2005-07-26 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
You mean seme?
Let me rephrase -- do you mean dom or sub?

[identity profile] airiviel.livejournal.com 2005-07-26 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
You're uke because the chains are on you. AND WHERE ARE YOU COMMENTING FROM? I've been waiting for you to come back online for FOUR HOURS!

[identity profile] cerulean-sky.livejournal.com 2005-07-26 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
...you know that's my friend Sonya, right?

And dude, I was out.

[identity profile] airiviel.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
*facepalm*

I barely glanced at the username. XD All I saw was that it began with a C and ended in "sky" so I was like "WHERE THE HECK IS SHE REPLYING TO MY COMMENT FROM?"

*ish a loser*

[identity profile] cheshibisky.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 11:18 am (UTC)(link)
*cries* The mean lady scared me!

[identity profile] cheshibisky.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 03:28 pm (UTC)(link)
*sticks out tongue* And you didn't even give me candy either! ;-)

Hey, Hot Topic is Tammy's favorite store, and they do have some cool stuff. Right on, I say.

[identity profile] cerulean-sky.livejournal.com 2005-07-26 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I know. I should edit the post. Because i actually don't think it's a poser store. And I get all annoyed when people say it is.

Where does Tammy go for her Hot Topic? There's not one in Manhattan, or even Brooklyn. The closest one is in Staten Island, and it takes FOREVER to get there. *mourns*

[identity profile] airiviel.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 03:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude. If / when you come visit, we'll go shopping, and I'll take you to the Hot Topic that's ten minutes away from me!

[identity profile] cheshibisky.livejournal.com 2005-07-26 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I bought a shiny there. It's a black wristband with 3 red anarchy A's on it. My friends were like, "that really doesn't go with your outfit," because I was wearing my, "War is not the answer. Unless you're a socialist geurilla." shirt. Anyway. Mmmmmmmmmmm, chains.... now you need a whip.

Fevered lovers and austere thinkers
Love equally, in their ripe season...

Huzzah, Baudelaire! (That is all.)

Red.

For I have, to bewitch these docile lovers,
Pure mirrors which make all things more beautiful:
My eyes, my wide eyes with their eternal lights!

Ah yes, 'twas much fun. :D

Hot Topic does have a great quantity of kewl swag, but I do not wear their pants, or their shoes.

I like wearing clothes that I can walk quietly in. It's easier to sneak up on people, Chains limit one's range of motion, as well as being heavy and can get stuck on things, which is embarassing.

[identity profile] cerulean-sky.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Problems of noise aside, I believe the chains are made of aluminum, or some other extremely light metal. They're hardly noticeable at all in terms of weight.

I agree about the shoes though... >.>;;

[identity profile] die-graumensch.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
And the tasteless shirts. Some are funny, some are cool, and some just have vaguely anti-establishment not-funny-but-trying-to-be slogans on them, that say something along the lines of "I'm better than everyone else" except in flowery cynical terms.

Good piercing-jewelry. Great accessories. Terrible shoes.

Exactly.
