My pants from Hot Topic came. And for all those people who will read "Hot Topic" and go "Oh noes! Poser store!" you can just shush. THey still have some cool stuff. Which is why I buy from them. XD

Anyway, my pants have chains on them. And red plaid. Though, they're mostly black. I shall endeavor to post pictures at some point. Anyway, I showed my dad. Who didn't understand. XD

Dad: Are those... suspenders...?
Me: ...they fasten on my legs...
Dad: They could still... if they went over your shoulders...
Me: No. They're just chains.
Dad: Please don't wear those tonight.
Me: *snickers* I won't!
Dad: ...weird...

( For those who are curious, we're going to a discussion on four poems by Baudelaire. ( And I mean the famous french poet, not the kids from ASOUE. >.< ) With a bunch of very smart people who went to the same liberal arts college my dad did. So he doesn't want his teenage daughter looking all creepy goth. *snickers* I wouldn't do that anyway. I like these people, in general. I don't want to frighten them. )

Problems of noise aside, I believe the chains are made of aluminum, or some other extremely light metal. They're hardly noticeable at all in terms of weight.

I agree about the shoes though... >.>;;

And the tasteless shirts. Some are funny, some are cool, and some just have vaguely anti-establishment not-funny-but-trying-to-be slogans on them, that say something along the lines of "I'm better than everyone else" except in flowery cynical terms.

Good piercing-jewelry. Great accessories. Terrible shoes.
