In which Sky writes about WFC. Sort of.
Nov. 7th, 2007 11:39 pmSo it's been, what? Three days since I got back from WFC? Well, long enough to have made a damn post about it. I mean, right? RIGHT?
Well, yeah. You don't get one. :P What you get instead is a short ramble about the food! (And by food I mean "chicken salad sandwiches" that I had there. There were three of them. All from different places.)
The first was from the Hungry Spot Cafe and was by far the best. I mean, it was pretty much perfect. I should have begged the recipe from them. The best part was the fact that it didn't have any fruit in it. No raisins, no grapes. And on sourdough bread... Yum. But alas, they were only open that Friday. I went back on Saturday and Sunday and they were closed.
The second was from The Stadium Cafe (Which was by no means a cafe, let me tell you this now. That was a sport's bar.) and was pretty damn good too. It had red onion on it. (I think.) And once the lettuce and tomato were removed, it was good.
The third, from Bailey's, was barely tolerable. It had red peppers in it. Who puts red pepper in their chicken salad? HEATHENS, I tell you. And the bread was sliced too thickly. I got more bread in each bite than chicken salad. (Though, this place had really great soup and an awesome atmosphere. If I had more time, I am sure that I would have eaten more things there to see if they were better than their chicken salad sandwich made it seem like they were.)
This all has inspired me to (attempt) to make chicken salad. So here's hoping I don't screw it up. ¬.¬
