I have been think about my souldbonds lately. You, know those characters that you create, or that you read in a book, and all of a sudden you discover that they have taken up residence in your head?

I was just looking over some of them, and I was shocked by them, actually. I'm so unsure how half of them got there. Like, in HP fandom, I soulbonded to James Potter. I'm not sure how. Hell, I think Draco Malfoy is moving his whle mansion into my head as I type this. Weird. The strange thing is that I would have thought, of the Marauders, I would have souldbonded to Remus. Or even Sirius. But I didn't. It was James. James Potter. And Draco? Of those in those years I would have expected Hermione. But I got Draco. Somehow. ::sigh:: Who knows?

And then, Crawford? And he's one of my strongest soulbonds. But... I mean, who saw that coming? (All right, besides Crawford, who saw that coming?) I certainly didn't.

And there are others, but I created them, I expect them to be up there sometimes. It just happens that way.

Strange.

Who knows...

Then, theres one that I don't know about. Astarael. The one whose name I have claimed as my own. She's a bell, godammnit! A very scary bell yes, but a bell all the same. I don't even know how that one happened. I don't even think I want to know. It just did.

::eyes the characters in her head::
You all creep me out sometimes!!
::runs away from their muderous glares::

Oh, I'm not going to even go into my ML soulbonds... There are two many there... wah...

Vanyel
Savil
Moondance
Starwind
Firesong

And others too...

And yes the thing about Astarael made sense. It's just that... well, you don't really hear much about her other than that she's a bell. Do you? It's been a while since I read Abhorsen...

Remember when they're traveling through the tunnels under the well.. Kirael's Path I think?

Astarael is down there and they all feel her presence and Mogget gets unbound and Astarael talks to him in his Yrael form..

Remember........?

Anyway..

You bond to a really bizarre mix of characters. I mean.. Firesong to Savil to Moondance? Whaaaaaaat?

I don't know.. mine seem to follow the same vein.. Vanyel, Lavan, well.. Duke Tremane doesn't really fit in their category.. but I bonded with him a lot. And Darkwind too I think..

Weird how they're all guys.. I guess I never really bonded with her chicks.. *shrugs* Maybe Elspeth to some extent.. but that might just be because I read the Mage Winds trilogy first..

Yes i do remember that part, but you don't get a whole lot of information about her then... Or maybe you do, and I'm just going senile and can't remember...

Yeah, the people in my head are the strangest people ever. And I mostly bond to guys as well, with the occasional female. I swear, there are like, 4 guys to every 1 girl in my head... Who knows.

Jeez, if I told you all of the people I have souldbonded to in ML's books... that list is like a mile long! Lol, not really but it's pretty long.

Hrm, lets see...

Vanyel, Savil, Moondance, Starwind, Lavan and his Companion, Kethry, Altra, Karal, Florian...

Whooo... those are the ones off the top of my head...

Don't even want to think of the ones I missed...

Oh. Firesong. And Silverfox. They are fan-TAS-tic. And I guess An'desha a little as well... but who knows... I thought he and Firesong would have been wonderful together...

I know, right? They would have been so cute... I wasn't all that satisfied with who An'desha became, but whatever.
