Totally getting a car. Even better... a FREE car.

(Car is being donated to my pathetic "can't get to work without begging rides off friends" cause by my aunt and uncle. And also because they are getting a new second car, and thus can get rid of their old second car.)

Still! Yay car!

...now we only have to figure out how to get it here from Brooklyn...

Fly into New York and drive it back! If you do that you should totally try to coordinate with us because we're planning on having a Halloween party... :D :D :D

Can't do that. I can't take the test until I have a car I'm insured for. And I think I'm going to wait to get insurance until I get my car here. Most likely it'll be my dad going out and getting it.

Besides, I really don't have any breaks until winter break. So it really couldn't be me. DDD:

Nice! 'grats!

Did you take the road test yet?

And yeah, with Emily, fly here, drive it back, do it over winter break and recruit some friends to help with the drive :-p

See above. DDD: And I need it before winter break, so that's out, too.

It's possible we'll just pay to ship it out. Driving it out and shipping it are almost the same expense, really.

Pity, I'm looking for trips to relieve my burgeoning wanderlust that stems from being cooped up in NYC all summer :-p

Nope, I won't be there until January at the earliest. :/

heh, well, if you can survive without it that long (which, considering you'll have to arrange the insurance and take the road test may not be much longer than getting the car any other way) let me know. Always up for a road trip cross country.

Decided I need to do some trips over winter break, so I'm planning to hit boston, chicago, raleigh, miami, and some time in the catskills. Another couple thousand miles doesnt bother me much :-p

*laughs* Hopefully, I'll be getting it in the next month or so. Though, really, if you didn't have school, I'd say you could drive it out and come see me!! (Why haven't you graduated yet, again? :P)

You should come out to visit me either way. :D

heh, hope you do get it soon, getting your own car is a truly liberating experience :-D.

I'd totally do it if I didnt have school, as it is I'd have to offer my driving services for january only - though I'm up for coming out to visit at some pt either way at some point! As to why I havent graduated... Haven't you heard? I'm a masochist, clearly I hate myself :-p

Not to mention the fact that I'd be able to pick up a few more hours at work, which would be great for my wallet (and schoolwork since I can get it all done at work), and also for the other receptionist who doesn't want to work as many hours as she currently has.

Well, if it gets pushed as far back as winter break, I will totally try to arrange to come out myself, but I'm really hoping it's going to be mid to late October. Early November at the latest. Either way, I totally expect a visit from you!

Not yet. I haven't even seen in her in a few years. I guess I ought to start thinking, though...

find someone to drive it out for you. Ideally - someone who's looking to visit St Johns to see how it is.

That was a thought too. If I could wait for winter break for it, we'd get a Johnnie who lived on the east coast to drive it back when they came home, but I can't really wait that long. Sad. We have some frequent flyer miles that we need to use up, so we might just send my dad out and then he can drive it back.

I was being sarcastic and annoying. :P I read most of the comments, haha. *HUG* Just trying to be silly or something (I don't know; I was hyper; apologies).

Welcome to the free car club!

When you do get it, don't leave it under any large pines during ice storms!

Enjoy!
