In which Sky resists the urge to blog. You know, real blogging.

Today I got a job at a yarn store. I already feel the urge to make a yarn/knitting blog. However will I get through working there without actually making one?

On the other hand, I might end up helping them update their blog/website, so... maybe that'll take the edge off?

Wow, that sounds like a fun job!

I anticipate liking it. I don't start for a week. (Unless I get called and asked to come in before next week.)

Hopefully you'll love it. :) I worked at a craft/fabric store (Joann's), but it really wasn't as good as it could be; it was so ... I don't know, I guess mainline and commercial that there were so many stupid rules that it was about the same as working in any other retail store. :-/ I eventually moved over to the framing department, but the rules there were so dumb that all the people who had come from small framing stores didn't stick around.

JEALOUS FACE!

Why is it that you always have the coolest jobs?

I'm tenacious like that. I dunno. I just smile a lot during interviews.

Yay for the job! Also... why *not* make a knitting blog? We can have them and ignore them together!

Because... sometimes I actually have interesting things to say about knitting, and I would actually want people to read and be interested in those things. But... I think I wouldn't have enough interesting things to say, or not frequently enough, and people wouldn't read it.

Hm. That might be somewhat circular...

(I still might though... Especially since I'm going to try to work at another yarn store in Santa Fe.)
