In which Sky takes decisive action.

Ok, so, I have a problem. Well, not a problem precisely so much as an issue I would like to deal with.

I have an LJ ghost. Not a troll, just an anonymous poster who comments on my journal, with things that aren't necessarily nasty. Examples of this can be seen here, here, over here, and here, too. (I'm pretty sure they go a bit farther back than that, but I'm uninterested in finding all of the instances.)

Now. I have an idea who it is. If I'm correct, one of the reasons he posts anonymously, is because I have both his LJs blocked already. (If that doesn't say, "Stop contacting me," I don't know what does.) If I'm incorrect with my guess, then there's really no reason for them not to sign their comments or get a LJ, unless they know I don't want to hear from them.

Either way, Mr./Ms. Anonymous? You have til the end of October to reveal yourself. After that, this journal will disallow anonymous comments.

ETA: That doesn't even broach the subject of this comment. There is so much that is just... fucking wrong about that. (Using my own account. Ugh.)

One of the problems with these posts is you never know if it's exactly the same person... this could be a couple of anon's... but yea, they should take credit for thier comments...

No, I'm pretty sure that it's all the same person. (Except for the last one.)

Yeah, personally I think whoever signed the comment with your account name is a different person than whoever's been leaving the anon-comments. Anon seems more neutral, while Identity Theft is vitriolic.

Do you have IP logging?

Oh, I know. That's what I was trying to say, there. The second one was so shocking. The first one is just... uh... Well, again, I think I know who it is.

And I don't think so.

I'd turn on IP logging, really, it might help?

Have you screened comments? Or you can make your lj friends only.

Neither. Don't want either, really. I like having my journal public.
