I'm so utterly pleased with myself.

Not sure if it's the new edition or if I'm just getting smarter (read: actually reading the instructions) or maybe both, but I just made a character for a D&D campaign and I did it mostly all by myself. (Those of you who've played campaigns with me know that I tend to fill in the character's name, race and class, and then hand the sheets to the DM to fill in all the numbers, rofl.)

Oh man, take a look at the new edition. They made everything better.

Eladrin are basically just high elves, and a swordmage is someone who hits things with a sword and does magic. XD

What edition are they up to now, anyway? 4th?

Ohhh, sounds fun! I mean, sword AND magic? How cool! My previous character was a grey elf, and I loved that character. I was so sad when I graduated and that D&D group broke up!

Yep, 4E.

Ooooh, yeah. I get to do tons of damage and make things spark. XD Technically it's in the new Forgotten Realms setting, but you can use it in a regular setting as well.

Also, in the new edition, they condensed all the different types of elves. They really made a lot of changes, but I can't think of a single change that I don't like (that they then haven't been like, "But we're fixing that too! See?" And made me go, "Ok, yeah, I don't have a problem with that now.")

If you end up getting into the new edition, you should make sure to keep up with their online content releases. Because they release pdfs with new things in them that aren't in the books. It's pretty intense.

(Oh man, I sound like my boyfriend... All this babbling about 4E is usually his job...)
