I feel that I may totally regret this later on, but looking at the latest lj drama, I... thought I might as well say something.

Here's my proposition: Fandom, discuss amongst yourselves, and pick a date and place. This is the date by which you will have moved out and the place to wich you will move. But take precautions.

-Make you absolute last post your new username on the place to which you have moved.
-If you have created communities, create identical ones in the place to which you've moved.
-Once you've said you're going, go.

Again, just my idea. I just think that if you want to complain, you should be willing to take drastic measures to ensure that they either listen, or you alleviate the problem another way. *shrugs* Maybe I just don't understand.

I totally agree. I'll have my various journals in other places, but that's ONLY because I want to see certain FO posts by some others. IJ is the only place I'd actually really go to if things got REALLY bad.

See for me, it's not so much a fandom issue as a customer service issue. Fandom just happens to be the only users targeted.

Think you're right, vote with your wallet and your presence etc. Be interesting to see what would happen to LJ if that really happened en masse. IMHO LJ was/is built on fandom, fandom:LJ as music:myspace, but seems to me LJ has so far kept it's essence better. So would we get a revival in a lot of splinter sites the way torrent site blossomed after suprnova, or would a lot of these communities just toally die out. Would LJ?

Meh, I hope that 6apart just stops being idiots so it won't come to that.
