Drabbles: #41 - Temptation
Angels were not supposed to sin. They were beings of perfect purity, who dutifully followed the rules given to them. But there were those who rejected this, who rejected their Creator. Instead they followed another and believed the things he told them. And thus they had sinned. And thus they Fell.
And among the angels who remained pure, there were those who mourned the loss of their comrades.
And though they were not supposed to associate with the Fallen, on earth, there was no one to stop them, no one to know. It was on earth that Aryael found Kael once again.
Angels were not supposed to sin. And yet, Aryael's once perfectly white wings continued to darken. He knew that soon they would be completely black. He knew that he was Falling, as each day he gave in to temptation, and gave in to Kael.
