So, this whole trip, I've actually managed to spend a decently small amount of money. I haven't even spent all the money that my mom gave me. And I've actually gotten a bunch of things. I got:

From New Hope:
-incense (both sticks and cones)
-an old fashioned style candle holder (with the little finger carry handle. It makes me so happy.)
-a cone incense burner
-candles
-two little candle holders for my altar that match my chalice
-a poster print of "The Accolade"
-a poster of Frank Sinatra (it's the mug shot poster that I wanted from the poster/framing store near my school, but I got it for $5, and it's $24 at the place near my school.)

From... around where Air lives:
-a Mulan doll (XD)
-striped tights (with no feet. YAY!)
-a Dropkick Murphys Boxing Club shirt
-body splash (from Bath and Body Works. It's "Sweet Pea" which I LOVE.)
-manga (I finally got one that the Borders near my shrink had stolen from it.)

I'll probably make Air go to New Hope for me every once in a while and get me stuff and then send it to me, but I think I'm all set for now. (Or maybe I just need to find new age stores in New York. There have to be some. I mean... right?)

So... yes. I am having fun. I actually fell asleep last night in the middle of Howl's Moving Castle but Air finished it, which is good since she had wanted to see it. But I was also getting sick. I am so proud of myself for narrowly avoiding getting really sick. I have a little bit more of a cough than I normally do still, but I'm no longer feverish. I took some Tylenol and then slept in my hoodie and under a down comforter. So basically, I stayed warm to make the fever go away. And it did go away. So I win. =D

Air and I have listened to nothing but the Oysterband for the past two days, which amuses me to no end.

Also, public school is weird. And gym is dangerous to one's health. If not for anyone else's, then at least to mine. I got hit with two balls, and I wasn't doing anything! Also, I like not having to get up so early, even if it means that I'm staying later at school. I never want to have to get up at 6am. That's just inhumanly indecent.

And... now Air and I are off to go to dinner and then shopping, unless the restaurant is crowded and then it shall be the other way around. =D

That's where we're different. I don't mind getting up early because it means I get out at a decent time. At your school you get out at times we're not even allowed to be on campus any longer. I'd loathe getting out that late. (Hence the reason I've yet to take a night class in college and never will).

Yeah, but at the same time, at my school, when you get out entirely depends on what classes you take. I happen to be taking classes that don't allow me to get out before 4:15. I know people, however, who get out as early as 12 some days. And I have had days in past years where I got out at 1:15. So really, there's a lot of leway.

That's good then. I think it was my first semester in college where I had my mom help me with the schedule and that turned out to be a mistake. I got out at like 3pm every day and it killed me. So from then on I've been doing my own schedules. This semester I get out before 12:30 and next I'll get out around the same time. AND I never have classes on Fridays. I luff college.

*bounces* It's so nice to be able to go shopping and not spend $294820984209842390.93 on a shirt. >.< Stupid NYC. And yet, I do love that city...

Anyway, yes. I am bouncy. Whee!

Actually, most of the cheap stuff was in Pennsylvania. Because that's where New Hope is. :D

...really? Are they in lower Manhattan? Because that's the only place I could think they would be...

Mostly lower Manhattan, yes. I don't remember their exact locations, but I can find out if you'd like. They'll be in inconvenient places, though...

I would very much like to know where these stores are. If you could tell me, I would be extremely grateful. =D

I'm completely blocking on most of the places I was thinking of, but my mother just reminded me that there's one on 9th st. between A and 1st, I think. Although it might be between A and B...

Is there a name for this store or should I just wander over there and I'll recognize it when I see it?
