In which Sky doesn't know how she feels.

It's been a while since I updated my journal. But I figure no one else is going to tell me that they want to RP, so I might as well make another post to let people know that I haven't dropped off the face of the earth again.
I'm leaving for Atlanta tomorrow, and I don't know if I'm taking my computer, but I hope to be. Even if I am though, I don't know what the online situation will be, so I might not be checking me email until Sunday afternoon.
My mother invited me to go see a play called "Bridge and Tunnel" with her after school. She had been invited by her connections with Equality Now, and had an invite for the party Meryl Streep was hosting after the play. One of the women my mother had been bringing along got sick, so I beged Lauren to come with me, even though she was getting sick. She did, and had fun (I hope) and was out sick the next day. -_-;; Gomen, dear!
The play was good. Really good. It's a one-woman-show, and the woman plays a dozen different characters, all of whom have accents that she does wonderfully. I definitely reccommend it to anyone in the area who has the means. It's really great.
Then afterwards we went to the party, which wasn't all that big, and met with Meryl Streep, who, by the time Lauren and I got to actually talk to her, had had some alcohol. She bruised my arm by patting it when we said good bye, and she stared at Lauren's necklace while we talked to her, which is a pot leaf with a skull on it. It was kind of funny. The thing that was insanely cool though, was that I commented on her very shiny earrings, and offhandedly she sayd, "Oh, yes, I borrowed them for the Oscars and then didn't wear them, so I decided what better time to wear them than tonight!" Who just gets to say, "Oh, I borrowed them for the Oscars..." Famous actresses apparently.
I finally saw it. I did really like it. I can't say that I would spend the money to go see it again. (Granted, my mom paid, but still.) I didn't think that it was spectacular. Definitely Oscar worthy, but I can see how, if Crash was good, could get the Oscar instead of it. Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhal were both amazing, of course. Loved them.
And... that's about it!
ETA: Not it, actually. My mom and I took in a stray cat. And we're gonna have to put up posters. We took in a stray cat right as we're about to leave. *facepalm*
