I hate it when people are idiots.
Jan. 29th, 2005 02:32 pmI got this review for this story I put up on ff.net ( The story can also be found on
fanfict00bs as it's one of the stories I psted there. ):
"AUGH! You could have at least warned me that this was going to be a sicko love story! Sry u might want to put something about that little...detail...in your bio. It really freaks some people out!"
Now, where does that leave me but confused. How does this person ignore the header? ( Which includes: "Pairing: Almost James Potter/Sirius Black, implied Sirius Black/Remus Lupin" and "WARNING: This contains SLASH. If you flame me for it, I'll set a Norwegian Ridgeback on you." ) And how do they then criticize my profile, when they apparently didn't look at it? ( Link to my profile, because I'm too lazy to copy all the things that are clearly indicators of a slash writer. )
I just... don't get it... WTF?
ETA: ( And because I'm a bitch, I went and got the person's email, and emailed them ( though the email seems to have been returned... ) For those curious, it was this:
"Dear xxxx, (name censored because I'd feel bad)
I'm sorry if my profile didn't warn you about what sort of writing I do. ( In fact, I had just put up that warning yesterday, but it takes time for ff.net to get it up. ) Thank you for telling me, and there are still somethings that I'm fixing to warn people like you away. In the future, if you continue to read my stuff ( though I would advise against that ) please just don't review. It's discouraging to a writer. ( And that was definitely something I ask in my profile. Which makes me think you didn't actually look at my profile, before telling me to put something in it. )
Also, in case the profile takes time to be updated, please read the headers of my fics, which clearly state that the fic contains slash. It's simply something an idiot would do to complain about there not being warnings, where there were.
Thank you for your time and suggestions! I'm getting to work on them right away!
