NYU visit

I didn't actually get told anything I didn't already know. Now what does this tell us? It tells us that airiviel should be a student ambassador when she gets into NYU as she's a great source of info.

But yes. It's still where I want to go. I love that my parents are like, "Uh, you won't get in." My dad said, "It's going to be ridiculously hard to get in, you know?" My mom decided to say, "Would you still want to go there if Air wasn't applying?" I was like, "Uh... yes." Bah.

I get to babysit now. I need food. I hope my aunt and uncle can feed me. We have nothing good in my house. It makes me sad.

Why, even if every student at NYU wrote fantasy, you would both destroy them in your sheer power and weight in the field.

Haha! It's true. I've decided to send a portfolio of my stories to the scholastic awards this year to see if I can get a scholarship from them or something, like Jaida did. Because that would be amazing.

I hope I get in. I desprately hope that I get in. And I hope that somehow we have the money to pay for the tuition. Or that we get enough financial aid or something.

But omg, that means I have to do the application. So nervous. *whines* I'M NERVOUS ABOUT AN APPLICATION. HOW LAME IS THAT? *whines* But yes. I need to do the app. And get my reccomendations. Eep. Looming closer. And yet, at the same time, I wish it would be here now.

By the way, I did pop into the Bookstore and look around. I didn't even see lanyards (probably because it was like... a new branch of it or something and a bunch of things weren't even unpacked) but we should both be happy that they seem to have nicer hoodies in the stores than they do online. Yup.

Bleh, I'm so annoyed at myself because my application has been done forever, I just have NONE OF THE TEACHER REC STUFF DONE. ARGH. Why not just give it to them like... tomorrow? I mean, the sooner the better. I've already talked to my teachers about reccomendations and they've both said yes. (Yes, two. Because some places ask for two. I think. But anyway.) One of them, in my english report last year, actually had nothing bad to say about me. My end of the year report for that class was amazing. XD

And yes, I did see nice Stern hoodies, actually. There were like... two that I thought you might like. :D SO we'll totally have to go there when we get in and get you a Stern hoodie. Because you'll "NEED ONE!!!" I can just hear you screaming that in my ear now. *winces*

It's weird. Because my mom is convinced that I will get in, and will support me in my decision of wanting to go there, but at the same time she pulls a jewish mother. "I'm not sure that it's the sort of place that you would naturally gravitate there or that it's the sort of place you will really enjoy, but if you really want to go there, I'll support you. Because I'm sure you'll get in, if that's what you really want." I was like, "Wtf?"
