... I prolonged a character's life (2000 years), made him fall in love five times, and each killed herself or died tragically after a few year long romance.

He's never gotten over it.

Half were relatives (mostly distant), which caused rifts with his family.

He died alone, miserable, and missing them all.

This world allows the possibility of afterlife.

None of the women he loved went. They stopped existing.

So he did, too.

... I get a little satisfaction over how much I fucked him up. That's a little sadistic of me, in't it?
