I twisted my ankle yesterday walking home from babysitting. It was fine this morning, but then between my second to last class and my last class, I twisted it again, and now it hurts. It's not a bad twist or a sprain or anything, but it fucking hurts to walk. And as a person who walks 15 blocks to get home from school, that was a problem. Lucky me, I carry Advil in my bag. So I put myself on Advil to get home, and then promptly wrapped my ankle in an ACE bandage. ( I can go up stairs, but not down... Interesting... )

Gr. Well, it could be worse. I could have broken it.

I have my second writing portfolio due tomorrow. I have 10 pages of the required 20 page minimum. I am going to be writing a lot tonight. ( Read: I might not be online til late. )

I once stepped on a basketball and twisted my ankle so badly that I could barely walk. That's just 'cuz I'm graceful like that.

Lol! I'm not THAT stupid! I was playing basketball with my cousins and the ball started rolling down the driveway and I chased after it and then stepped on it on accident.

Your stairs problems are the same as mine. It's because, going downstairs, you need to point your foot forwards. Going upstairs you keep the leg-angle degree the same.

Makes sense. It just seems illogical. For some weird reason.

Do you have a computer at home again and you forgot to tell me?

It comes of having weak ankles. Which sucks. ( Mostly because it means that I minorly twist my ankle all the time, by somehow flicking it in a weird way... but whatever. )

*hugs* I'm sorry - I guess my twisted ankle was contagious. :(

Up stairs but not down makes some sense, I guess. Going down stairs, maybe you're putting more weight on it or something?

Anyway, *hugs again* I hope it feels better, and ACE bandages are quite beautiful things. Don't take it off until you're positive you won't sprain it again, seh?

Ankles, like yawns, are somehow contagious. Apparently. >.>;;

I love my ace bandage. It's saved me many-a-time. :D

make sure you take care of your ancle, and dont take the bandage off until you are sure it's safe.

down is more stressful, as it's repeated shocks, not sustained pressure that gradually increases, as well as angular reasons-- you dont bend your ancle climbing... but you do descending.
