I'm home, and my life, all the stress and no-free-time-ness begins again. Joy.

I saw Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. To those who say, "It's stupid," shut up and go see it before you form an opinion. Because I thought it was great. It's was lots of Angelina Jolie sticking her boobs out and going, "I'M HOT!" which is a lot of what she does. And Jude Law was really hot in it. And Gweneth Paltrow was... a ditz. No change there.

But seriously.

The whole movie, except for the people, was done on a computer. How cool is that? I think it's awesome. Also, the premise is kinda cool. So people should see it.

I've never been more sure that I'm actually for real going to change my name to Sky.

While in San Fran ( where I was for the weekend. It was my great grandmother's 90th birthday. I got to meet yet more family who I had never known existed until I was shaking their hands. Joy. ) I bought a shirt that says "SKYY." It's from SKYY Vodka. I was so highly amused. Not only is it my name, (granted, spelled a slightly different way ) but it's VODKA. XD XD

I got this new program for DLing music and things. It's much like Kazaa, or iSwipe, and for Mac users. It's called Poisoned. It won't eat your harddrive, and even DLs pretty quick, for the most part. The only thing is that it seems to find less things when you search (not something I've had a problem with, but that's what my dad says.) Mac users can find it at www.versiontracker.com by searching for "poisoned," which will get you the newest version.

Just thought I'd spread the joy. It's because of this wonderful program (which is really small for a application) that I now have over 1000 songs in my iTunes library. :D Which makes me really happy. I've been getting music I've been dying to have.

And last but not least: GIP!

Oh, and I totally meant to do the Last Line Meme but I missed it with San Fran and my horribly busy schedule. ;_;

:( :( :(

you know, authors dont (usually) change their names for pennames -- i talked it over with hannah, and she agrees (and she does stuff with scholastic! scholastic > alpha)

I, for one, have thoroughly enjoyed having changed my name, though it didn't have anything to do at all with a pen name. A lot more people ask about it that I would have expected, but I think it's nifty. My biased advice would be to go for it! Then you'd be less likely to get more people calling you Skytasha... *hides behind furniture*

1) I really couldn't care less about what other people think about it.

2) I'm not changing my name to my penname. I'm changing it to a name that I happen to like a lot, because I've always wanted to change my name.

3) Why the fuck are you talking to her about what I'm changing my name to? Why does it matter at all? Why are you having like, a debate over it?

4) I'm not even going to comment on the the Scholatic > Alpha comment.

SO is.

"The leader was tall and snide and slim. He looked like a gay Captain Morgan."

How could that not be (Captain) Jack Sparrow?

I tend to totally forget that your legal name isn't Sky, but it does register in some dim corner of my mind when anyone says Skytasha.

Heh. XD

Jude Law=quite hot in that movie.

It was a beautiful fantasy of a movie world. I didn't pay much attention to the story though...just the CGI...

I went to Haight Street, and saw Lombard Street, and saw Koit Tower (Koit? hm...) and went to Chinatown with my dad. It was wonderful.

I was in Santa Cruz for a wedding, but our plane was leaving from SFO, so we drove there the day before we left. Mostly we just drove around and looked at places where my mothere used to hang out when she lived there, but we went to Chinatown too.

I was there for my great grandmother's 90th birthday. And we kinda did the same thing, only it was with my grandmother's sister (my great aunt) and she pointed things out that she'd grown up with. It was fun.

Tiring, at times, but fun.

I look at you or think of you and think, "Sky" or "Skytasha. Heh." because Natasha does not, somehow, equal Sky. ^.^;

Hey, what's this style called?
