I have the exact same one with the straps, only the brocade is burgundy. It fits wonderfully ... and out of all my corsets is my favourite, therefore I'd go with that one.

well whats the reason for you wanting one? I mean is it for fashon? Or is it for body modification/waist reducing. Personally if its for fashon I say go with strapless.... If your going to get it for body modification I say neither since what they do to the human body causes many problems. (some of the problems I see in the patients here in GI)

Perhaps, if I save a bit more, I'll get both Well, that would be my first instinct... Assuming that doesn't happen, though, I happen to think the strapless one's a little prettier, if you were comfortable wearing it.

I would most wholeheartedly say you should get no-straps.

Therefore, for your own sake, straps.

And please don't avoid developing a tummy for the sake of this... I've worn a corset. I know that it's not comfy. Don't wear it all day or anything.

I don't even know... Sadly...

And I'm going for looks... I wouldn't lace it to the point where I couldn't breathe... I've worn corsets as well. A whale bone one in fact. Not comfortable at all.
