I saw Van Helsing yesterday.

There were elemments of good, and elements of "OMG, WTFF?"

ATTENTION: THE NEXT COUPLE PARAGRAPHS MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR VAN HELSING. IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT, AND DON'T WANT IT TO BE SPOLIED FOR YOU, SIMPLY DO NOT READ AN FARTHER. THANK YOU.

On the other hand, Dracula, was AMAZING. I loved his "Love me, please?" complex. It gave him character. And a reason for being evil. Well, that and the fact that like... he is is evil itself practically.

And that whole thing with Dracula alluding to Van Helsing being the Angel Gabriel? "How does it feel to be the left hand of God?" I loved it.

Of course we get no answers because the filmakers said to themselves, "Wait! We can't give them all the answers! We are going to make a bad sequel which will almost answer the questions, but won't!" I'm telling you, the way that movie was made was made for sequels.

And Ana died. Which leaves sooooo much open to fanfiction writers. This movies doesn't make anything particularly hard about writing fanfiction. It leaves so much open.

Why did Velkan have to die? Ah, because he was pretty. Can't have too many pretty people running around at any given time, now can we? Will Kemp? Sooo good looking. So good looking.

Elements of good

Well, no, there were some god things. Like, the fact that Dracula was hot. And Velkan was hot. And Hugh Jackman was hot. And Van Helsing and and Anna didn;t have any chemistry together.

But on the other hand, the FX were shit.
