Title: Love Is A Shade of Gray
Author: Sky
Paring: Harry/Draco
Rating: PG-13, nothing happens, just a little kissing, but it's just implied
Disclaimer: Not mine. Shut up. Thank you.
A/N: It's a conversation. Most details are left out, like all the scenery. That's up to your imaginations.
Love Is A Shade of Gray
"I hate you," he states, his gaze cold.
The other shrugs. "I know."
"No. I really hate you."
"I know that."
"So, why do you do this? To me, to yourself?"
"I don't know... maybe I love you..." He laughs faintly.
He snorts softly in disgust. "Love is a weakness."
"So I'm weak. I thought you knew that already."
"I did. I'm just letting you know. It's might benefit you to change that one day. I don't love you."
"I know."
The blonde scowls and throws up his hands, a sign of confusion. "I don't get it! Why are you doing this?"
"Because what else is there? In this world there are no shades of gray, just black and white, good and evil, love and hate. I don't like it, but try as I might, I know I can't change the world. I can only try to change those I care about, those close to me."
"And I'm one of those people?"
The dark haired one shrugs. "I guess so."
Draco sighs. "Just... go away, Potter. Go the fuck away. The worldis black and white, deal with it." He turns and starts to walk away.
Harry reaches out and grabs Draco's arm, and Draco stops, half turning to look down at the hand.
"I'll be a Death Eater soon, you know. And I'll kill you. He'll tell me to and I will --"
And he's silenced by Harry's lips on his own.
Harry, for his part, tries hard to convince Draco that the world isn't black and white, just many shades of gray.
