New York may be where my heart lies, but I do really love Santa Fe. Something about coming back here is very calming. And this trip is the perfect length: four days. Long enough to relax, and not long enough to get bored or get into it with my parents. It's perfect. There was no turkey today, since we were all flying, and there was no way we were going to come home and make Thanksgiving dinner, so we're planning on having a big dinner on Saturday night. Which is fairly traditional for us anyway, since the big family thing that we usually go to on the East coast (that we all opted out of this year) is on Saturday every year. So my dad and I will be cooking on Saturday. Yay stuffing!
Also, they loved their birthday presents. I will be curious to see if my mother makes any of the shawls in that knitting book. They're gorgeous, and she needs projects like that.
Also, both of my parents have told me that they like my hair straightened. My dad gave me one of his rare compliments. He said that he really, really likes my hair straight. So I am happy. (Also, my dad may be getting me a set of circular needles. I am extremely pleased with this, too. *giggles*)
