cerulean_skyYay! Another one! If you have read my story "A Beneficial Partnership" then you'll recognize the characters and it might be a little bit spoilerish for the series of stories concerning these characters. If you haven't read it, then don't worry.
Phadian and Cybran had started working together because it made sense. Because they both got something out of it. Because it was a beneficial partnership to all involved. When it came down to it, it wasn't that they trusted each other at all. It was that they could only see the profit in it.
Their relationship was not founded on trust. Blind faith was, perhaps, closer to the truth.
Years later, when their deep dark secrets and their dark hidden pasts had caught up with them, they found a reason to finally trust each other. That was then Cybran and Phadian realized that, through all those years, their trust in each other had been there the whole time.
