It is both oddly comforting and strangely insulting to realize that, while your life may have just been tossed to the edge of precipice, the rest of the world continues on as if nothing has changed. Because nothing has, really.

Even better, it only takes a night of sleep to realize that you're not any different than you were before. Just, perhaps, a little more informed, and a little more control over the situation. What you thought was a terrifying precipice is really only just a crack in the sidewalk.

Stand up, make sure no one saw you trip up, and keep going.
