I went to see Loreena McKennitt at Borders last night! I was joined by:
lskull86,
huntress999,
lux_alexander, and the ever lovely
inamirata.
The music was fantastic. She played Penelope's Song, Stolen Child, Raglan Road, and then Bonny Portmore as an encore when we fans wouldn't let her stop so soon. I got the CD/DVD set that was being promoted (Nights from the Alhambra), and she signed that as well as my copy of An Ancient Muse.
Then we all had dinner at The Jekyll and Hyde Club which is really kitchy and–for all those ADD people out there–not a place you want to go to eat. You will never find the time to eat because there are too many things happening around you all the time. It made my life hard. *whines and makes puppy dog eyes* Anyway, moving on. Their food was perfectly good (though there was corn in the quesadilla... wtf?) and their desserts were absolutely lovely. We were joined by
fielfuego at dessert, and then we all (minus
huntress999 who had work in the morning and
lskull86 who joined us after taking
huntress999 home) trouped back to our apartment, and we hung out until the wee hours of the morning.
Thaaaaaat's about the size of it all.
Mira is off with Luke at the moment. I think. And I am a bit worried as I haven't heard back from my mother in regards to the dinner she and I are supposed to be meeting up for tonight. It's 5pm already (by the time I finish typing out this post) and both of us are going to need travel time. Hmmmm.
I am still sick, btw. Mira seems to have recovered though.
ETA: I woke up this morning (by which I mean 1:30pm) to find my house empty, with a note from my roommate telling me where she had gone. Apparently, when she tried to wake me up earlier–and she tried four times–I was either entirely unresponsive, or I threatened to hurt her. I... don't remember any of this! Apparently, I talk in my sleep sometimes! Who knew!
