On resolutions?

Basically, I have no idea what's being discussed. I know, I like to pretend that I do. But really? I know what the "problem" is, and I know what I think the LJ people are saying. But I'm not entirely sure what their "resolution" entails and how it's going to effect their recent actions. (To me, it seems like they have acknowledged the problem with their actions, but are now justifying it instead of fixing it.)
There's a chance that when this is no longer constantly being discussed and changed, I will understand it. There's also a chance that I won't understand it unless I sit down with someone who knows what the deal is and really have a Talk.
*shrugs* Oh well. I guess we'll see.
