Why do my parents seem determined to make me miserable?

Ok, so I spent an hour not last night but the night before arguing with my dad about me staying here during August. Which resolved itself to me not being able to stay here alone, but that I would most likely be able to stay because my dad didn't want to go to Santa Fe either. Which was fine. I was fine with that.

But then this morning my mother tells me that I'm going to have to clean my room and weed the gardens. SO THAT SOMEONE CAN COME LOOK AT IT TO SEE IF THEY WANT TO LEASE IT. Ok, I'm not even bothered by cleaning. I don't mind it. I clean the house all the time. What I'm bothered by is being told that no one was going to lease our house and that I could stay here for August, and now I'm being told that I can't? What the fuck is this? So now... I'm very depressed, and very annoyed, and very mopey, and very tearful.

I know what I want, why can't my parents even try to accomodate that? It's not fair!
