Thoughts from the Early Morning of an All-Nighter.

There's a certain point when, pulling an all-nighter, it ceases to be a task to stay awake. What it is after that, is a task to get one's body to move.

I like pulling all-nighters, interstingly. I think it's an interesting feeling for my mind to be fully awake and active, and my body to be less responsive. I don't know why.

Also, I think I'm an insomniac by choice. I mean, I like sleeping. Or, at the very least, I enjoy being snuggly in my bed. I hate that I waste so much time with sleep. If only there was some way to do things while asleep. (Fully conscious, I mean. I know of sleep walking and all that.) Or I wish there was a way to feel all snuggly and warm in bed, but not be in bed and asleep.

Ah well.

P.S. Making tea in my bathroom so as not to wake my parents made me think of college. I mean this in the sense of everything of mine being in one single dorm. Including the electric teakettle I fully intend to bring to college. (1- Yes, that's what I was using, and 2- if I guzzle this much tea next winter, I'm definitely going to need that kettle.) I love college dorms. I just do. Having a whole house, essentially in one room makes me feel so... organized, actually. In a really nice way. :D

Whoo. Lookit. Sky's mind is a little rambly at 5am. *pats self on the head*

LOL, seems I'm not the only one awake all night and drinking tea (use a coffe maker btw, they are infinately useful). I've decided that I'm not an insomniac, I just have the reverse schedule from the rest of the world, I'm simply nocturnal.

As for feeling all snuggly in bed, that's what a)a b/f or g/f is for b)if they arent around a book, or c) a laptop :-P.

To continue what I was saying on the coffee maker, 'cause I'm bored, it's infinately useful. It makes coffee, tea, hot chocolate, soup, stew, eggs (yes, really), etc. Of course theres a kitchen downstairs and I have my toaster oven in the common room, but the coffee maker is damn versitile and I don't even have to leave the room!<--computer geek talking on the last bit

Dude. Coffee maker to make tea.

... you're, like, smart and stuff.

[identity profile] cerulean-sky.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 11:23 am (UTC)(link)
*spaz* No! Sacriledge, I tell you! Sacriledge!

[identity profile] anonshadow.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 11:25 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I just meant that it saves time.

I like the whistling tea kettle! I promise!

*hides from Sky's spasming*

>.o It's just that... tea must be prepared right. As must coffee. You can't mix the proceedures. That's like... weird.

[identity profile] lskull86.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 12:17 pm (UTC)(link)
welcome to college m'dear :-P

[identity profile] cerulean-sky.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 12:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Bah. I will be the only person in my dorm who cooks, I'll bet. And I will cook for my roommate. I think we decided that I was going to cook, and she was going to... play music or something. I dunno. Can't remember.

[identity profile] anonshadow.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 12:47 pm (UTC)(link)
You cook?

... dude. Can I be your roommate?

[identity profile] cerulean-sky.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
*snicker* Well, I can cook, and pretty damn well. It's just that when I'm here at home I usually don't because sooner or later someone else in my house makes something that I can eat. And I am hella lazy.

But yeah. I can cook. :D

[identity profile] anonshadow.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
... woooooow.

*so impressed*

[identity profile] lskull86.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
flicking through this thread and remembered that, amusingly, one of my suitemates is a former tea salseman.

His nose turns up everytime I make tea with my coffee maker (which doesnt stop him from having good advice on how long to steep specific types of teas in a given temperature :-P)

[identity profile] anonshadow.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
*amused*

That kinda reminds me of the guy I know who's a law student. Who hates law, but insists on talking about it.

If I didn't like him so much, I might smack him.

A coffee maker for tea? Sacriledge! (For both parties, indicentally.)

Yes, but a) my bf is in PA, b) no good books at the moment, actually, c) there's only so much I can do on a laptop before I get bored, and d) I should be writing a paper.

Also, you're a geek. But, sadly, I was raised by a coffee elitist. So. (How the fuck does one make eggs with a coffee maker?) I'm fairly sure taht I'll be set with just the electric teakettle. And the person I want as a roomate wants one as well. So we'd pretty much be set on that account.

[identity profile] lskull86.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 11:46 am (UTC)(link)
:-P

[identity profile] cerulean-sky.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 11:24 am (UTC)(link)
Also, I would be nocturnal of I could be. The thing is, I can't sleep during the day. Which is what makes me an insomniac; I just don't sleep.

[identity profile] anonshadow.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 11:26 am (UTC)(link)
*grin* I sleep in the afternoon, often. Or from, like, 7pm-midnight, and 5am-7am.

[identity profile] cerulean-sky.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 11:28 am (UTC)(link)
...

You know...

I could do that...

Not tonight, as I'm babysitting tonight. But I could totally like... sleep when I get home, and then get up at like... 10pm, and stay up the whole rest of the night...

That makes so much sense!

You get a cookie! *hands you cookie*

[identity profile] anonshadow.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
COOKIE.

::claps::
that's what I do much of the time as well

[identity profile] cerulean-sky.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 11:49 am (UTC)(link)
Clearly thing is something I need to start doing...

[identity profile] lskull86.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 12:18 pm (UTC)(link)
As Andrea would say, "come to the darkside... we have T-Shirts!"

[identity profile] cerulean-sky.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 12:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Preachin' to the choir, hon.

[identity profile] anonshadow.livejournal.com 2005-12-05 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't used to do it intentionally.

Then my sweetie told me to. So I did.

*is impressionable*
