HBP SPOILERS! Read at your own risk.

Dumbledore kicks the bucket and Draco is kidnapped by Voldemort.

These spoilers are courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] moony. From her post here. ( Pretty much, if this is wrong, I blame her. :P )

Also, if you are at Alpha, and you are reading this, you are not allowed to place a bet on Dumbledore. ( I was going to originally, but I didn't think he would die until book 7. )

...and I have no HP icons. *sigh*

I always knew that his death had to come before book 7 because it's been his will holding back any sort of final conflict.

The one thing I can't figure out, because I'm just too fucking _involved_ is if Snape will die in teh last book as some sort of redemption for his past sins, or if he'll be the dude who survives and never really understands any of how that could be.

Dude, yeah. I have some of the same reservations about Remus, not in terms of redemption but in terms of "Because everyone else in his life fucking has and sometimes living is too cruel" or if, just like you said, he'll be one of the survivors who stands in the wake of it, like some ocean in which he was certain of drowning receding.

Aaaaaaah yes. Oh man, I've been really calm, but now I'm starting to obsess.

I just realized, whatever happens, those two have to share te same fate or else there's never a true resolution of their school days.

Dude. DUDE.

I do, I admit, have a $5 bet on Remus' life for book 6. I am ashamed, sort of, except that I'm 99.9% sure he's going to die in this book or the next.

Which is sad, because I like Remus.

[identity profile] cerulean-sky.livejournal.com 2005-07-09 12:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, me too. But that don't mean he ain't gonna die.

*grin* By Game of Thrones standards, it would mean it was almost definite.

... though Jaime's still alive.

... minus a hand.

*grumbles*

She killed Sirius. I'd expect anything from her at this point.

This is also me, and I apologize profusely and hope to have everyone's sincere or not-so-sincere forgiveness.

S'true though. For George R. R. Martin, I'm like, "Jaime's my favorite character! ...which means he's gonna die..."

Esp. since he's turning goodish.

Not good - but less bad. He hasn't shoved anyone out a window recently, for example.

[identity profile] cerulean-sky.livejournal.com 2005-07-14 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I still loved him when he was doing that... You know me. I love the bad guys. >)

[identity profile] ea14spk68weeper.livejournal.com 2005-07-14 06:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. I don't like the bad guys so much as the arrogant assholes.

... the two are often the same thing. XD
